HOW TO FIND ROUTER IP ADDRESS ON WINDOW, LINUX, MAC OS, AND ANDROID?

The Internet has become an essential part of every home, office, or school. You simply connect to wifi and can search for anything in the world. However, if you get some error in connecting to your network or facing any other problem, you need to configure your network. There you need to log in to your router to configure the network before calling the customer care. Every router has a web interface and you can configure it with the help of a web browser. You can configure your router in any sense, can change the password, and do other settings, simply by logging into the web interface of the router.

For the advance setting of the router, you must log in to your router. If you are facing any difficulty in wireless connection then, it is the first step towards troubleshooting. All you required is the Ethernet cable, for connecting the internet directly to your PC.  In this article, I will provide you a step-by-step guide to logging in to your router web interface.

STEPS FOR Finding IP ADDRESS on WINDOWS:

Here are the steps to log in to your router

Step 1: Connect your pc on the same network with the help of an Ethernet cable to whom you want to configure and set. Connecting to the network via Wi-Fi does not require any password. You simply connect an Ethernet cable to your laptop and you are now connected to the network.

STEP 2: Open the command prompt. This can be done simply by clicking the window icon at the bottom left corner of pc and type “cmd” and press the ENTER button on the keyboard. Your command prompt has opened.

STEP 3: Run the command “ipconfig” on your command prompt. You will see an interface like in the picture given below. The IP address will be like as shown in the white box given below

Congrats, this is your IP address.

STEPS FOR Finding IP ADDRESS on MAC OS:

STEP 1: You should open the Apple menu and choose system preference

STEP 2:  you should click the network icon and select the relevant network connection.

Step 3: Click on the “Advanced” button

STEP 4: press the “TCP/IP” tab to see your IP address

STEPS FOR Finding IP ADDRESS on LINUX:

STEP 1: You just follow the following navigation procedure

Applications > System Tools > Terminal

STEP 2: Simply type command “Ipconfig” and press enter. You will see your IP beside “inet addr”

STEPS FOR Finding IP ADDRESS on Andriod:

Step 1: simply download the app “WIFI ANALYZER” from the play store.

STEP 2: Click on the “VIEW” menu and press the “AP LIST” button

STEP 3: simply check the network name and press enter.

 

STEPS FOR LOGIN:

You have successfully obtained your IP address. But this is not enough. You need some other steps to log in to your router control panel and configuration. Here are the other steps for login

STEP 4: Just copy the IP address of your router as you obtain from the above steps. Now, open your favorite browser whatever you like Mozilla, Firefox, Chrome, or explorer (just kidding, I hope it’s not your favorite). Paste the router IP address into the search box and press enter.

STEP 5: After pasting the router IP address into your browser and hitting the enter button, you will see an interface of the router where you are requested to enter your password and name.

STEP 6: Simply enter the default password and name to log in to your router web interface. You don’t know the password? What now? Don’t worry, just go to your router and see the default password on the back of the router. Just copy it and put it in the password box. Now, you have successfully logged in to the router.

STEP 7: you have successfully logged in to your router web interface. But you are not able to configure any setting yet. For configuring, follow the next step

STEP 8: you need to restart your router. This can be done easily by the restart button on your router.
